This 1 pillow replaces 4 others I would use for back, stomach, knees, and head.

I like the option to flip it with the opening either in my back or under my tummy with only the end under it.

It helps keep my back aligned more properly.

I can swirl it into a dougnut shape for my belly to come through so I can actually sleep face down.

I am so glad I purchased this pillow, it has been wonderful! I had been using just a long pillow between my knees to help relieve discomfort during my pregnancy until I was about 6 months along, it was just too uncomfortable and I knew I needed something else. (Infact I was so desperate I paid for the next day shipping)

I searched online and found a few, including this one. I liked this one at first because it had two sides, you could just roll over instead of having to move the entire pillow every time (which is often!) What I didn't realize is how NICE the other side feels against your back! It completely "snuggles" around me, giving lots of support all around (I had no idea how important that was) It was worth every penny, and then some. I don't think I could sleep without it at this point.

My husband thinks I look silly, and is probably a little upset that he can't easily reach me in bed (it takes up my entire half of our cal king bed), but I find him cuddled up to the other side at night, he finds it comfy too. It's bulky, but so is having a bunch of pillows piled around you at night, and at least with this it's super easy to get comfortable again after getting up 5 times a night to go to the bathroom!

The only problem I can even think of is that I often find myself on my back during the night. Although I fall asleep on my side, there is something about the shape of this pillow, it just cradles you so nicely... I've never been a back sleeper, and wasn't until I got this pillow. So for anyone that is paranoid about sleeping on their back during pregnancy, you may find yourself on your back like I have. But it feels like you are floating, no pressure or weight, so I'm not concerned.

I have also used it sitting up with the legs wrapped around my back, which then gave me a pillow surface to work with.. I haven't been able to get very comfy on the couch, especially when I want to do something like write, knit, etc. so having the pillow top right there helps alot and I can see how you could use it like a boppy (?) when feeding a baby (although you'd have to set your baby down to get the pillow worked around you, so I don't know how well the pillow will work after pregnancy, but for now I love it!

My husband bought this pillow for me as a gift early on in my pregnancy. I highly recommend it as I have enjoyed it for months. I haven't had any troubles sleeping at night (I am due in 8 days). I find that I am always comfortable. In the beginning it also helped me get used to not sleeping on my back or stomach. I've also configured it into a doughnut shape so I could read on my stomach.

The contour shape is designed for a shorter woman. At 5'10" I don't feel the curve hit me perfectly, but that hasn't impeded the pillows functionality much. The pillow is huge and does take up half of our cal king mattress. I have not found a way to disguise it either. When I make the bed it looks like a huge body is under the covers. :)

My only wish is that the cover was easier to remove.

I have now owned this pillow for three months. I originally purchased it because my hips were hurting me and standard pillows were not alleviating the problem. I was tossing and turning from side-to-side and therefore getting little sleep. The Snoogle Chic immediately solved the hip pain problem!!! However, I also immediately began to get headaches, which is why I gave this pillow 4 stars instead of 5 stars. I tried to place my head in varying positions on the pillow for a week straight and continued to have headaches each morning. I now place a squishy pillow in the curve of the head piece and have not had headaches since.

The zip-off cover is a plus because my dog loves this pillow as much as I do. I have not had problems washing the cover, but I also took careful note of other Snoogle reviews and clean it on the delicate cycle with low dryer heat.

The pillow conforms very well to my body and does not take up too much space in the bed. My husband and I both fit comfortably in our Queen size bed. Although, we were not as comfortable in a Double bed on our last road trip.

I bought this pillow around 19 weeks right before I was supposed to stop sleeping on my back. I had been using a body pillow and another pillow behind my back. This worked so much better! It keeps me on my side and I am comfortable. The only reason I am not giving this pillow 5 stars is because the material of the pillow case is a little rough if you are used to sleeping on soft sheets and is a pain to take off of the pillow. Still, a great buy, considering I am usually a stomach sleeper. Oh, and it works fine in a queen bed. I bought this instead of some of the others because I thought they might be too big for a queen.

Edit: I am now 37 weeks pregnant and am still loving the pillow. It is the only way I can sleep. I sleep horrible away from it. Honestly, with the exception of bathroom breaks, I sleep pretty darn good considering I am 8 months pregnant. The biggest flaw continues to be the cover...I would suggest buying a second cover right up front.

I am glad the negative reviews did not deter me from purchasing this pillow! I am 16 weeks along and have been having a terrible ache on my right side for the past couple of weeks which I attribute to the weight I carry due to my large hobo purse. Somewhere around 18 weeks, I started becoming so uncomfortable at night. I have always been a fan of sleeping with multiple pillows, but I was having to build a fortress to get remotely comfortable. I had read positive reviews of the Snoogle and had seen it at Babies R Us. I finally had enough and sent this link to my husband at work (BRU is a mile from his office,) and asked him to please bring it home.

He came home, exclaiming, "This was $50!" I assured him it was the best $50 he has ever spent. Now, I only sleep with the Snoogle and one other pillow in the open part of the Snoogle. It is, indeed, huge, so it's a good thing we have a king sized bed. However, now that I'm at 33 weeks, I can't imagine sleeping without it. It really helps the back pain.

I took off one star because I feel that for the money, the cover could be made of a nicer, softer fabric.

I got this as I was entering my third trimester. I was looking for something that would keep me from sleeping on my back. I do not like tall pillows so I was concerned it would be uncomfortable. It did take some getting used to -- the first couple of nights I had a little bit of neck pain. I did rearrange it and eventually got used to the higher position, however. I also ended up waking on my back, despite the pillow, though I was propped at an angle because of the pillow. Overall, I think it does a good job of keeping my position to the side most of the time, as without it I revert to my back in no time at all. I agree with previous reviews that the cover is not the softest in the world. However, at least this one includes it -- the one at babies are us that I looked at in the store does not even come with a cover. Overall I think it's better than having 5 pillows around you that shift around all night long. While it's big, it's not as much of a concern as some have said -- if you have a pillow between your knees and one behind your back, that takes up more space than the snoogle.

I'm using this pillow for about a week now and here's what I noticed.
I'm at 27 weeks and my belly is not too big, but it still caused me a lot of trouble while sleeping. I had to spend about 10 minutes every night getting comfortable enough with all the pillows, and of course by the time I do (pretty much) I'd have to get up and go to the bathroom :)
I now use the Snoogle pillow along with only 2(!) extra pillows and it does help.
I'll skip the pros part as the other reviewers did a good job describing them. But here are the cons that could definetely be improved by the manufacturer:
1. The seam that goes all the way on the inside curve of the pillow is very stiff when the pillow is stretched around your body. This is very uncomfortable as I usually feel it either on my shoulder, neck or the chest depending on the position I take.
It is touching all those soft areas and feels almost like a cardboard across the skin.
2. The fabric of the pillow is kind of rough and it is not too pleasant for the skin of the face. I am thinking about sewing the case out of the softer fabric, but it could be a little complicated because of the odd shape and the length of the pillow.
3. The price. It has been mentioned before, that the pillow itself is very simple made, so I guess it's the idea that costs that much.
All these items could probably be improved by the manufacturer so the product really does make a perfect pregnancy product.

I"m very glad I paid the extra $10 or so for this one. I'm 5'10' and although I was concerned that I may be too tall for the pillow, this is not the case. This pillow, I believe has made a world of difference. It's design is nice because you don't have to keep moving the pillow in the middle of the night when you change sides, and it is very comfortable. My hips still hurt a little in the morning, but when I tried sleeping without the pillow for a few hours one night, I really felt the aches and pains and I couldn't sleep - so the pillow is a godsend. I do recommend it. The only issue, like others mentioned is the cover is hard to clean and then put back and it does take up space in the bed. I have a king size bed and my husband still has plenty of space, so space isn't an issue with me. I think though that this is well worth it - enjoy the sleep before the baby comes.

Update: I'm now in my 9th month of pregnancy and still love this pillow. From hearing the stories from all the other women in the birthing classes, I know that I don't have any of the issues that they have sleeping. It supports your neck, back, stomach and hips. I've washed the cover numerous times and now find it easy to put back on, but the material isn't the best, as there is some fuzz balls on it now. But since I'll only be using it for another few days or so, it's worked great up to now for me.

Save the money and buy a couple of body pillows instead. The thing about this pillow is that when you're pregnant and hulking and huffing your way through rolling over at night, you've got to do some major rearranging with this pillow, and by then you're more awake. I also find it more difficult to extract my pregnant self from this thing to check on my other child in the night. Sleep is too precious to waste on something like that. Body pillows are easier to work with and take up less room.

±1±: Best Buy I need to emphasize that you need to have a belly before you think about buying a pillow because you will better understand the difficulty of your sleeping habits. If you were a tosser/turner and then you develope a belly and found you were comfortable on one side of your body, you won't know until that baby starts jutting out. With that said, you need to figure out what kind of sleeper you are to properly find a sleep-aid pillow. If you still toss and turn, you need a lightweight body pillow (using a number of small pillows won't be any good for you because you will have to keep re-adjusting them and you need to stay as asleep as possible to maintain good sleep). If you stay in one position, does your back hurt? Do you sleep with your legs straight or curved?

This body pillow is for those of you who don't want to spend the whole night in one position (it is easy to throw on the other side and turn over on top of because it is lightweight) with your legs curved. If you like to sleep with your legs out straight, you will need another small pillow at the bottom. I would say my only complaint is that the section for your head is too full, but I fixed this by undoing some stitching and removing a bunch of fluff and now its pretty much perfect. It's very plush and soft, so don't worry about the pillow being too stiff (unless that is what you are looking for). I've had a hard time sleeping with it during the summer time because my left arm is underneath the pillow and gets a little hot--but I'm sure that's a goofy problem and doesn't hurt my rating of the pillow.

If you are one of those people who can spend a night not moving at all, but sleeping in one position, I would strongly recommend getting a number of small pillows. While this one is very comfortable, you have to sleep somewhat curled up, and if you need to stretch its a little difficult. on Sale!

This pillow is nice. It supports my back and belly at the same time. It also helps me to stay sleeping on my side, which doctors recommend during pregnancy. It is quite big, bulky, and heavy. I have a queen bed and there is hardly any room for my husband. The biggest complaint that I have is that the seam on the pillow cuts into my shoulder so badly. To remedy the situation, I sleep with it upside-down (with the bottom of the U shape between my legs). It works, but you don't get the same support as having the pillow right-side up the way it was intended. All in all, I still love it and am glad I bought it.

Generally, most people's complaints about this product are that it is bulky and expensive. Both are indeed the biggest drawbacks. Other smaller, more minor drawbacks are the following:

1. Difficulty in replacing the provided pillowcase (it's a workout in itself).

2. Pillowcase is not from very expensive material (for the price, you would expect at least a 300 thread count) - you'll have to shave those little lint balls off at least once a month.

3. Difficulty maneuvering the Snoogle to either get out of bed (those frequent trips to the bathroom to pee) if it's on the edge, or switching from lying on your left side to your right.

Other than three listed above, the Snoogle really does make life easier for the preggo. After reading article after article that sleeping on your back was bad or at least discouraged for you and the baby, I needed something to cling to that would encourage me to sleep on my side. No easy feat for someone who's been sleeping on her back for the last 28 years. While the Snoogle will not completely eliminate your need to roll over altogether, I would say I sleep on my side about 90% now, as opposed to the 15% prior to using this product.

Your sleep co-inhabitor may indeed find it obtrusive, but my husband has learned to live with it - and in fact in the middle of the night I catch him sleeping on the end of the curve next to where my head is. He barely commented on the space it took up anyway because I put the Snoogle's spine on the very edge - an ideal spot to save space AND keep me from falling out of bed.

An added bonus too is the feeling of security it provides. I love just lying on my side hugging the Snoogle while I watch TV. Since it conforms to your entire torso and gives your legs something to hug, it's really nice to just relax into it.

I agree that the price, considering the material used, really does seem quite expensive (the manufacturers aren't the first or the last people who will take advantage of a pregnant woman's misery). However, when you weight it out against peace of mind (sleeping on your side), comfort, and future use (a couple of my friends who used this product went on to use it for their babies) then the price really doesn't seem so bad.

This is the BEST body pillow for pregnancy!! Plus, I even used it months after I gave birth because it was so comfortable. Now my son is 3 and he has it in his toddler bed to provide a cushion to lean on...he loves it and calls it his "snake"...he can't sleep without it on his bed, it is nice cushion to lean against for people of all sizes. My husband and I have playfully nicknamed this pillow as my new boyfriend Bob. I LOVE this pillow! It was delivered right when I entered my 18th week of pregnancy. I slept with it for a few weeks and then headed off on a "babymoon" to Maui and didn't bring it with me due to size. At 20 weeks I was so uncomfortable without it and amazed by how many pillows I had to use to mimic the comfort I get from this one.

Yes it is big (we have a queen size bed... I wouldn't suggest it for a double unless your hubby is ok with sleeping on the floor or couch) but my husband cuddles up to the side nearest him and my husband, Bob and I all get a good night sleep. ;)

I love all of the different positions that you can use this pillow in. An unexpected use I found for it is using our laptop in bed. I sit up in bed with the "headrest" up behind my head and the top part of the "legs" going down my back then I drape the bottom part of one of the "legs" over my lap and rest the laptop on it. Working in bed has never been easier.

It's only May now so I can't speak to if it's too hot or not. I don't sleep with a blanket on me at night lately so it may get hot in the summer but I'll deal with that then.

As for getting in and out of bed it's a breeze, all you have to do is drop the "leg" of the pillow that is on the edge of the bed off the side of the bed, climb in and pull that part of the pillow back onto the bed (that's if you don't want to climb over it). Plus I LOVE that I don't have to roll the pillow over with me when I turn over in the middle of the night the way I would have had to do with the Snoogle that I almost bought.

I had read a review saying that the part you rest your head on isn't very comfortable. I had been worried about that as I have had back and neck problems in the past and usually sleep with a down pillow. I have woke up with no neck pains since sleeping with this pillow.

I have just bought a boppy to use for breastfeeding once the baby is born as this one is too bulky to lug around the house but I'm sure I would have done that regardless of what pregnancy pillow I bought.

All in all this is a fantastic pillow. My husband has started joking that once we have our daughter and I'm no longer suffering the aches and pains of pregnancy that whoever gets to bed first each night gets to fall asleep in Bob's embrace. ;)
